The Foiled Plan started off in 2018 with local orders for foiled prints. Then about half way through the year I was asked by a few of my clients to create personalized vinyl decals and mugs. I finally invested in a Cricut cutting machine and things really took off. I later expanded my services to create custom mugs, labels, logo stickers, signage, marine decals, etc. In 2019, I added clothing to the list and in 2020 I jumped into the world of sublimation. Eventually, I offered more products and services than I ever thought possible and my small crafty business had folks buzzing! Then in 2021, my custom orders were put on hold so that our house could be completely renovated. During this time my focus became teaching crafty skills, in order to keep myself busy. This was the catalyst for a huge shift in what I wanted to focus on with The Foiled Plan.

Throughout the years of running my business and making custom gifts/designs, I've always shared my creative process. I loved that others could learn alongside me, avoid my mistakes, and grow! When I put my custom orders on hold during our renovation and focussed on teaching/sharing my experiences, it became clear to me that it was my true calling. While I enjoyed making custom orders, helping others find their creativity and learn new skills is where my heart is. I understand the fear that can often hold us back from learning something new or even taking something out of the box for the first time and I wanted to help others through this. I made the decision in 2021 to no longer offer custom handmade gifts and commit to turning The Foiled Plan into a creative community of "Foiled Friends" that focusses on more creation and less intimidation! We're all about learning, growing and sharing all the crafty things.
